A UK based tier 1 construction contractor delivering an array of residential, healthcare, commercial, education, retail, leisure and industrial schemes with typical new build and refurbishment project values in range of £5m to £400m+ with a portfolio of high profile tenders in the pipeline for future works

The Role

As a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor based in London, you will play a key role as part of the senior commercial team in the delivery of multiple new build and refurbishment developments from tendering stages all the way through to completion. You will liaise with the wider business to ensure that all schemes are finalised on-time and within budget.


* Attend project meetings
* Manage 2nd stage tendering and GMP's
* Assist in overall value engineering works
* Manage details surrounding project drawings
* Assigning the selection sub-contractors, materials & specification
* Finalise documentation regarding initial scope, bidding and budget
* Inform members of the project team on the progression of schemes
* Oversee change orders in and with the Site Manager & Project Manager
* Monitor bid & tender packages and perform analysis against the cost plan
* Utilise CVR processes to maximise cash flow and predict potential turnover
* Hold negotiations with project stakeholders to maximise cost effectiveness
* Assist in the preparation of final accounts throughout and at project completion stage
* Arrange relevant project insurance policies and command all relevant purchase orders
* Oversee monthly cost reporting, compiling data from the Project Surveyor & Assistant Surveyor
* Assort relevant sub-contractor activity including procurement schedules, trade contracts and tender analysis
* Liaise with the Project Manager to design cost plans and bid lists, attaining approval from the wider project team
* Provide an accurate insight on procurement routes and options, informing all stakeholders of potential opportunities
* Accountable for all financial aspects surrounding the project lifecycle, including the invoicing of subcontractors & clients
